About the Department
The Department of Computer Applications at Velumanoharan Arts and Science College
for Women is committed to offering a comprehensive education in computer science
and application development. The B.C.A. program is designed to equip students
with a strong foundation in computer applications, programming languages,
software development, and networking. With a focus on both theoretical knowledge
and practical skills, the department prepares students to meet the technological
demands of today’s fast-paced digital world..
Course Details
The B.C.A. is a three-year undergraduate course divided into six semesters. Each
semester comprises a mix of core subjects, electives, and skill-enhancing
courses. Students are required to complete practical labs and projects to apply
their theoretical knowledge in real-world settings. The program also includes
industry internships to provide hands-on experience in the IT field.
